We have been telling you about an exciting new property in Southern Montgomery County for the last few years.  We continue to be very excited about this property and the potential for very big bucks.  After hunting the Garrett Johnson Produce Farm during the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 seasons we are convinced we have located one of the best natural feeding areas in Montgomery County.  This property features over 300 acres of peaches, apples, and about any other fruit or vegetable you can imagine.   The property is located approximately four miles south of Candor, N.C. in the middle of the Sandhills.   Many of our hunters were fortunate to harvest a deer on this property over the last few years.  This propery is managed under our sixteen inch rule.  This is "big buck country" as you can see by the picture below of one of the many peach and apple fed bucks that have been taken from the Johnson farm.
If your taste is for peaches, fresh produce, or homemade ice cream you can visit the Johnson Produce Market (pictured below) located on Hwy. 220 South of Candor approximately 5 miles.   Make your plans now to come and visit with us at Midstate Outfitters for the 2008 Season.

Don't forget about our good friend, Tony Wooley, and Cow Run Farms.  Tony will be working with our hunters during the month of October to offer a limited number of controlled bird hunts.  Take a break from "seeking HighRackHumongous" to check out Tony's operation and shoot a few Chukars, Pheasant, or Quail.  Give us a call at MidState and we will help you set up your dates with Tony and his staff.
